The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is the new king of the hill. That’s because the new ZL1 is the quickest Camaro ever created. This honor was recently bestowed on the Camaro ZL1 after achieving an average top speed of 198 mph at Germany’s Automotive Testing Papenburg GmBH proving ground.
Schnellste camaro aller zeiten…this is how the Germans say the new Camaro ZL1 is the fastest Camaro ever! The 650 horsepower ZL1 achieved this feat using the all-new 10-speed automatic transmission.
“This test caps an impressive list of performance stats for the Camaro ZL1, which was designed to excel at everything,” said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer. “It’s the most capable — and fastest —Camaro ever.”
Maybe the best news of all is the new Camaro ZL1 is available at your local Chevy dealer. Prices start at $63,435 for the coupe with a manual transmission and $65,830 for the coupe with an automatic transmission.
